Hi, I’m Jeffrey Tang, and this is Pen vs. Paper, a blog about writing, work, media, technology, life, art, culture and everything in between.

What you should know about me:

Ever since I was little, I’ve wanted to be an author. Sometimes I wanted to be other things too (a pilot, an astrophysicist, a musician) – but I’ve always known that I wanted to write books.

After saving up some money, I quit my job about a year ago to write. That’s not nearly as romantic or dramatic as it sounds. Life goes on – except instead of driving to work in the morning, I sit at my desk and write.

I’m currently working on an epic fantasy series.

I think ‘literary’ fiction is overrated.

Let’s see, what else?

I enjoy anime, martial arts, and my Kindle. I like spicy foods. One of these days I’d like to move to New York City and live there for a few years.

I’m teaching myself Ruby on Rails and software development in general, because it’s a useful skill to have.

I dabble.

The technical details:

Pen vs. Paper runs on WordPress. I designed the theme myself using the Whiteboard Framework 3.0.5, and I’m rather proud of it.
